- 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank
- 17:29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone
- 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
- 17:31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house,
- 17:32 Remember Lot's wife.
- 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it;
- 17:34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed;
- 17:35 Two women shall be grinding together;
- 17:36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken,
- 17:37 Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles
Luke 18
- 18:2 There was in a city a judge, which feared not God,
- 18:3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him,
- 18:4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself,
- 18:5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her,
- 18:6 ... Hear what the unjust judge saith.
- 18:7 And shall not God avenge his own elect,
- 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily.
- 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray;
- 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God,
- 18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes
- 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eye
- 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified
- 18:16 Suffer little children to come unto me,
- 18:17 ...Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall
- 18:19 Why callest thou me good?
- 18:20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery...
- 18:22 Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast,
- 18:24 How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
- 18:25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye,
- 18:27 The things which are impossible with men
- 18:29 ...There is no man that hath left house, or parents,
- 18:30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time,
- 18:31 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem,
- 18:32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles,
- 18:33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death:
- 18:41 What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee?
- 18:42 Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
Luke 19
- 19:5 Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down;
- 19:9 This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
- 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save
- 19:12 A certain nobleman went into a far country
- 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds,
- 19:14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him,
- 19:15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned,
- 19:16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
- 19:17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant:
- 19:18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
- 19:19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
- 19:20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound,
- 19:21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man:
- 19:22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee
- 19:23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank,
- 19:24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound
- 19:25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
- 19:26 ...That unto every one which hath shall be given;
- 19:27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them,
- 19:30 Saying, Go ye into the village over against you;
- 19:31 And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? t
- 19:40 I tell you that, if these should hold their peace
- 19:42 If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day
- 19:43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies
- 19:44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children
- 19:46 ...It is written, My house is the house of prayer:
Luke 20
- 20:3 I will also ask you one thing; and answer me:
- 20:4 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?
- 20:8 Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.
- 20:9 A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen,
- 20:10 And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen
- 20:11 And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also,
- 20:12 And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also
- 20:13 Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do?
- 20:14 But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves
- 20:15 So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him.
- 20:16 He shall come and destroy these husbandmen,
- 20:17 What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected,
- 20:18 Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken;
- 20:23 Why tempt ye me?
- 20:24 Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it?
- 20:25 Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's,
- 20:34 The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:
- 20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world,
- 20:36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels;
- 20:37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush
- 20:38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living:
- 20:41 How say they that Christ is David's son?
- 20:42 And David himself saith in the book of Psalms,
- 20:43 Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
- 20:44 David therefore calleth him Lord,
- 20:46 Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes
- 20:47 Which devour widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers:
Luke 21
- 21:3 Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast
- 21:4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings
- 21:6 As for these things which ye behold, the days will come
- 21:8 Take heed that ye be not deceived:
- 21:10 Nation shall rise against nation,
- 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places,
- 21:12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you,
- 21:13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
- 21:14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate
- 21:15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom,
- 21:16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren,
- 21:17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
- 21:18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
- 21:19 In your patience possess ye your souls.
- 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies,
- 21:21 Then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains;
- 21:22 For these be the days of vengeance,
- 21:23 But woe unto them that are with child,
- 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword,
- 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon,
- 21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear,
- 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud
- 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up,
- 21:29 Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
- 21:30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves
- 21:31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass,
- 21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away,
- 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away:
- 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged
- 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell
- 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always,
Luke 22
- 22:8 Go and prepare us the passover,
- 22:10 Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you
- 22:11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house,
- 22:12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished:
- 22:15 With desire I have desired to eat this passover
- 22:16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof,
- 22:17 Take this, and divide it among yourselves:
- 22:18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine,
- 22:19 this is my body which is given for you:
- 22:20 This cup is the new testament in my blood
- 22:21 But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me
- 22:22 And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined:
- 22:25 The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship
- 22:26 But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you,
- 22:27 For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth?
- 22:28 Ye are they which have continued with me
- 22:29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom,
- 22:30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom,
- 22:31 Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you
- 22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not:
- 22:34 I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day,
- 22:35 When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing?
- 22:36 But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it,
- 22:37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me
- 22:38 ... It is enough.
- 22:40 Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
- 22:42 Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me:
- 22:46 ...Why sleep ye? rise and pray,
- 22:48 ...Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
- 22:51 ...Suffer ye thus far.
- 22:52 ... Be ye come out, as against a thief,
- 22:53 When I was daily with you in the temple,
- 22:67 ... If I tell you, ye will not believe:
- 22:68 And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me,
- 22:69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand
Luke 23
- 23:3 ...Thou sayest it.
- 23:28 Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me,
- 23:29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren,
- 23:30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains,
- 23:31 For if they do these things in a green tree,
- 23:34 Father, forgive them;
- 23:43 ...To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
- 23:46 ...Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit:...
Luke 24
- 24:17 ...What manner of communications are these
- 24:19 ...What things?...
- 24:25 ... O fools, and slow of heart to believe
- 24:26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things,
- 24:36 ...Peace be unto you.
- 24:38 Why are ye troubled?
- 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself:
- 24:44 ...These are the words which I spake unto you,
- 24:46 Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer,
- 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached
- 24:48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
- 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you:
